After a restructure, Nettie Sanderson becomes redundant. But before she has time to figure out what to do, her life becomes a whirl of mystery and murder.
On receiving an inheritance of a wool shop in a small Wairarapa town, Nettie moves to become part of the quiet community. With a suspicious death behind the shop, Nettie and part-time wool shop worker Mags meet the local constable and the investigating police inspector from Wellington. It is a surprise to find Nettie's retired work mate Bob had moved to the town when he retired. The three quickly find themselves embroiled in drug trafficking, money laundering and dodgy dealings in Real Estate, all while trying to find the previous owner of Amber-May's Wool Shop.
You can visit Thornbury, a fictional town in the South Wairarapa of New Zealand without leaving your house. Nettie, the knitting groups and the people of the town welcome you into their lives as they untangle the mysteries that come their way.
Wondering how Bob makes those mouth watering bakes? We have convinced him to share some of his recipes with us and at least one recipe will be at the back of each book.

Reviews
"I just loved Secrets of the Wool, and can't wait to read book 2." - Brenda
"The story had me within a few pages, easy to read, great story line. Great picking up little pointers throughout the story that leads you to a possible conclusion. Twists and turns keep you reading. Great ending." - Sandra
"This book is great and I really enjoyed it. A quick easy read, likeable characters and all set in a familiar village/town which could be anywhere in NZ. Looking forward to the next in the series." - Liz
"I love cosy mysteries and have read almost all in the Wellington and Upper Hutt libraries. This is as good as all the others, only better as it’s set in NZ rather than the UK or US. Great characters and familiar places made it a great read. Recommended." - Glenda
"Although I had read some stories in this genre, before reading this book I was not familiar with the term “cozy mystery”, which means a crime fiction story that is set in a small community and avoids violence and sex. And that is exactly what this book does, although the crime involved is certainly not menial, the main character could be anybody’s mother, grandmother or friend, and her humanity is what speaks through all the events. Set in a fictional small community just north of Wellington, New Zealand, the writer paints very typical town in that area, and it is easy to start feeling an urge to go and visit there. I also loved recognizing some of the real places mentioned. A pleasant read with all the loose ends tied up in the end and the promise of more to come." - Amazon review
